Reset your own password & Upgraded security

More than just a password reset link

Next time you access the login page, if you enter an incorrect username or password, an option to reset your password will appear.  Gone are the days when you have to reach out to your Avannis account administrator to reset your password.  What you might not realize, though, is there is more to this seemingly minor upgrade.

In fact, the “Forgot Password” link is only one of several security upgrades we implemented on the reporting platform in November.  Our goal was to make the upgrade as seamless as possible.  Most users won’t even know that anything is different.   In reality, we completely re-designed the sign-on and password management system to deliver more convenience and security.

Key security upgrade features:
1) Advanced protection of your account from unauthorized access using compromised credentials.
2) Incremental adjustments to meet HIPPA, PCI DSS, SOC and several ISO/IEC standards.
3) Support of federated, single sign-on with Google, Facebook or your corporate Microsoft Active Directory via SAML.
4) A more streamlined approach to managing users and passwords.
